will be 6 - 10 June 2012
We practice adult baptism and use the baptism pool at the Christchurch Centre
The Greek word we translate as 'baptise' meant to drench, or emerse. It was used when dyeing cloth, or when a ship sank - these days we could say we 'baptise' our tea bags! We follow the example set by Jesus and the early church of fully emersing adults once they have reached a personal faith in Jesus. It is a mark of their new life with Jesus - raised with Christ - and a time for the church to celebrate.
A reminder of a previous baptism at the church.
